To Choose or Not to Choose

Running a rental business comes with a lot of choices.  Choices such as what type of equipment to purchase, how much to charge per rental, what times do you offer the rental.  The best option when it comes to rental rules and pricing is to to keep it simple and efficient.  You want to make it easy for your customer to choose, book, and pay for their rental.  If it’s too complicated, a potential renter will look elsewhere.

Not to Choose

One the other hand, you may not want or need your customers to be able to choose their rental type.  Simply renting a kayak and ensuring that the system takes it out of inventory is enough.  Or if you have 10 of the exact same style of paddle board, then it’s just not necessary for the customer to choose.  Further, you may want to have more control of your inventory and the freedom to move units around as needed based on upcoming bookings.
